Pros and cons of Slope Rider app for iPhone and iPad

Slope Rider app good for

Pretty good game. You should add a restart button because now you have to go back to the main menu of the game if you want to restart a race.
Slope Rider is snowboard simulation/arcade game for iPhone. It reminds me of Tony Hawk or Shaun games for consoles. Graphics are great, game is running all the time with solid fps, but best part are controls. There are no buttons to control with, your tricks and how snowboard reacts, it is all based on how you tilt your iPhone. It may be little tricky at first, so you will to practise a lot (patience required) but it is cool experience. There are 13 stages in Slope Rider, all for both freestyle (tricks and points) and alpine riding (time trial) modes. Game also has AGON online scoreboards (career points based) so you can check how good you are. I can recommend this game to everyone who enjoyed snow/skateboard games at PC/consoles.
First Id like to say those giving it a one star rating for the controls are wrong. As it may not be the best controls, the accelerometer is easy to pick up and play (And I like it). It has two modes a timed and freestyle. I prefer freestyle as to win you have to do the most tricks, with the most points. The tricks I find are kind of hard to do but very rewarding when you do a great combo. I found this very fun and doesn’t get stake as it has 13 maps. This is a keeper in my Ipod and very well worth the money. My only gripe is that if players had stats that would be nice. Overall I give it a 4/5. -Skyye06
Slope Rider is similar to the other snowboarding games in the AppStore, but has its own style. You can choose from two modes to play from - Alpine and Freestyle. Alpine is a race to the finish, but Freestyle lets you bust out your tricks. Graphics are similar to the other AppStore snowboarding games, as well as controls, but with some slight differences. The controls can be hard to use at first, but there are settings that you can use to adjust them to your liking. There are several levels to unlock and choose from. And a few different characters to play with. All of this makes Slope Rider just as good as any other snowbording game on the AppStore, and depending on your likes, it also gives it the opportunity to be the best appstore snowboarding game available.
When it comes to snowboarding on the iDevice, there arent too many options. Fortunately, one of those options is Slope Rider. Slope Rider offers tons of game options and plenty of fun. Controls can have a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, youll be carving down the slopes in no time. Worth picking up for snowboard enthusiasts, though casual fans might not find it as appealing.
a very funny and good app i recommend buying it for everyone that likes slopes

Some bad moments

graphics are good but hard to control, impossible to land tricks. plz plz put some onscreen controls. like and analog or d-pad in the bottom left of the screen. crouch/jump and trick buttons in the bottom right corner of the screen. move the time and points to the top of the screen. just some suggestions
Just bad. Hard to control, and the guy yelling "ouch" all the time is annoying.
Horrible game, I can not believe after all the technology someone can deliver such a horrible game. 1080 from Nintendo 64 is more than 12 yeas old and is a 100 times better than this one. Is better to buy a whopper, dont waste your money on this.
I bought this app thinking it would be great based on the other reviews and that fact that is on the iPod Touch commercial. However, I was wrong the game is terrible and it left me very disappointed. There is nothing wrong with the graphics or anything its just that the controls are terrible. You are not able to control your speed which causes you to fly down the mountain smashing into every tree and snowbank there is... trust me it gets very annoying quickly! Hopefully the developers of this game can fix this serious problem with the next version. Save your money and dont waste it on this app!
